EuroCape New Energy Limited is an independent renewable energy company which aims to develop, construct and operate renewable projects in core European markets. Over the last 20 years, the Company has developed a strong expertise in the wind and solar industries. In Poland, after having built 106MW of projects, the Company now focusing on the development of several projects representing a total installed capacity of 150MW. In Ukraine, the Company is working on the development of a 600MW wind project, which will be one of the biggest onshore wind farms in Europe. In France, the Company developed and built a portfolio of more than 100MW over the last 10 years. Today, EuroCape operates 77MW of wind energy, 3MW of solar energy and has a targeted pipeline of 200MW. EuroCape New Energy Limited focuses on the fastest growing energy markets in Europe with stable wind and solar resources, well developed infrastructures and favorable regulations.

MTB’s performance:

 

  • In Phase-1 of the wind park, with more than 600 people involved into the construction process, we provided the occupational health, – and safety service at company Eurocape New Energy, who was the supervising team of the wind farm owner). 
  • Monitoring the conditions of work at the workplaces, conducting inspections and examinations of the technical state of buildings, structures, equipment, machinery.
  • Monitoring, controlling of all work areas, which was separated into 76km wide zones.
    These areas were:
    o 35/330 kV Substation construction in Nadezhdyne,
    o Construction of 27 wind turbine (WTG) foundation,
    o Construction of 27 wind turbines,
    o Establishment of wind turbine storage sites,
    o Construction of 35 km long underground medium voltage (35 kV) electrical network,
    o Construction of 23 km long high voltage (330 kV) transmission line,
    o Construction of Melitopol electrical substation,
    o Internal road constructions, about 45 km long.
  • Participating in UXO (Unexploded Ordnance), EXB (unexploded bombs) and ERW (explosive remnants of war) survey.
  • Developing and implementing an asbestos mitigation plan and procedure.
  • Supervising asbestos removal activities.
  • Conducting daily site visits in contractors and subcontractors work areas.
  • Taking corrective actions to eliminate hazards and dangerous situations.
  • Conducting extraordinary training for contractors’ and subcontractors’ employees even for their management as well, in order to raise safety levels in construction sites.
  • Leading of safety topics and participation in daily, weekly and monthly meetings, including to conduct safety presentations in Stakeholders’ meeting.
  • Taking part in investigation of injuries, occupational diseases and diseases caused by the job, studies their reasons and analyzes the efficiency of measures implemented for their prevention.
  • Taking part in development of the measures for prevention of occupational diseases and accidents on the job, improvement of the working conditions and their bringing into conformity with the occupational safety instruments and assists in arrangement for fulfillment of the developed measures.
  • Preparing occupational safety reporting in the established form and within the stipulated terms.
  • Monitoring and supervising of waste management and emergency preparedness and response of work sites.
  • Ensuring that the traffic management procedures are being followed by contractors and subcontractors.
  • Identifying potential hazards to workers, particularly those that may be life-threatening.
  • Eliminating hazards by removing the activity and/or worker(s) from the work process.
  • Minimizing Hazards through design of safe work systems and administrative or institutional control measures.
  • Taking necessary actions in case of nonconformity, or in case of violation of safety rules.
