South Korea’s Doosan is building a plant in the Tatabánya-Környe industrial park to produce copper foil for electric car batteries. Thanks to the surrounding plant, Doosan could become one of the most important suppliers of copper foil for electric vehicles in the European market. At present, the market needs 75,000 tons per year, but 975,000 tons are expected by 2025. The general contractor is Samsung Engineering Magyarország Kft., one of our company’s key partners.
